1. Click at Start and then Run....
   
   
2. Type regedit and click OK to open Registry Editor.
   
   
   
   
3. In Registry Editor click at the sign + in front of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE to open a folder and continue clicking the sign + until arriving at folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Current Version\WPAEvents.
   
   
4. Right click at OOBETimer and choose Modify.
   
   
5. In Value data: use a backspace to delete any value and add a new two-digit hexadecimal value, any value fron 00 to FF, and click OK. This will deactivate Windows. Then close Registry Editor.
   
   
6. Click at Start and then Run... and type %systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a. Then click OK.
   
   
7. In Let's activate Windows choose Yes, I want to telephone a customer service representative to activate Windows and click at Next.
   
   
8. Click at Change Product key at the bottom.
   
   
9. Type in a valid product key or serial number at New key: and click Update.
   
   
10. Go back to Activate Windows by phone and Restart your computer.
